  1. I goofed and ordered the wrong size by accident from BRS. $15 and it's yours. Never touched water. -PENDING http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/sea-side-aquatics-coral-viewer.html PM is the key. -Ty
  2. Summer around it? The wife and I are going to book a room at the hotel and make a weekend of it! (In no way is that the truth... my life would end very quickly as my wife would kill me). That's so great that you were able to make this happen this year Mike! Kudos for all the hard work and commitment to the event!
  3. Hey Mike, I tried to RSVP (really before you changed your mind about it being free [emoji14] ) but when I checkout with $0.00 in my cart, it directs me to PayPal and says there's nothing in my cart.
  4. Free admission? Did you win the lottery? [emoji2] BTW, I'm so stoked this is going to happen! One of my favorite events for the year by far.
  5. Well said... I like automation for stability... but you can always bet I'm there testing and watching... I got eyes on you!
  6. Haha, testing is in my nature. My old CaRX ran as smooth as butter for 2 years on my 125-gallon. Once dialed, it's pretty set. The actual issue on this one was the growth on the pH probe. I think in any form of automated dosing, you'll have the ability to have issues if things malfunction. I just read on a bigger forum about two separate 2-part dosers that overdosed alk or Ca in their respective systems. Go figure!
  7. Sad day! I wonder if they bought an industrial sized bottle of prazipro?
  8. Old urchy Billy has resorted to alternative means to removing coralline to keep his job now that his teeth have worn down with age. Okay... that was my last one! Had to get them out of my system.... [emoji23]
  9. I like your new automatic coral fragger you bought Tim!
  10. I'd hate to mess with the fish in that tank if the urchin feels the need to carry around a blade like that for protection.
  11. That's awesome! That favia on the rock looks like a spaceship!
  12. Haha, religously. I don't think I missed one for 5 years... every 2 weeks like clockwork. [emoji14] Different tank... different methodology... since I didn't have the nutrient removal systems in place that I have on my current system (biopellets, gfo, and giant skimmer), the easiest form of consistent nutrient removal for a system that small was the good old water change. Uggghhh... the word still makes me shutter. [emoji5]
  13. Mystery solved! I couldn't figure out why my alk kept dropping and I had to keep dosing it back up with 2-part. I kept lowering the pH on the CaRX to try to keep up. Once I was down to 6.30 pH, I knew something must be wrong. There was barely any noticeable media melting. Lo' and behold, when I went to calibrate both probes (something I do every 6 months), the one for the CaRX had some sponge/bacterial growth on it. Once I cleaned that off and recalibrated, it read 6.70 pH on the same water... that's quite the difference in readings. Hopefully this will take care of it but it explains my drooping Ca and alk levels.
  14. I have one you could borrow but I would like it back whenever you get back on your feet again and replace your sump light. It's LED though but grew me a giant ball of chaeto the size of a turkey before I shut it down.
  15. New filters and new DI resin... check!
  16. My 9 TDS was a result of my DI resin being completely exhausted. So I would imagine your DI resin is probably the same.... meaning you've just been using RO water for however long you've had 12 TDS. When my DI was exhausted, I got a huge cyano bloom and the algae in my tank went nuts!
  17. I love it! Keep them coming folks! Dig out those old pictures! James, just draw an interpretation of your first tank since there were no cameras back in your day.
  18. Haha, nice one. Eating out with you sounds fun! Thanks Sascha. I've been feeding him angelfish food mixed in with the mysis and other frozen food I feed. I also use some of the angelixir for the amino acids that is commonly found in sponges as well to soak his food in. I may be just seeing what I want to see but he's looking even more yellow this week.
  19. Jeez! What neighborhood did that urchin grow up in?
  20. Looks like a Nuvo16 with a Coralife, 2 bulb light fixture over it.
  21. Alright folks, bring 'em on! Let's see your first tanks and tell us a bit about them! 12-gallon nanocube 2004-2009 Mainly softies and LPS Killer of many mandarins, SPS, and sponges PC lighting - 48 watts of fury coming at you Refugium in back middle chamber Rocking an upgraded Minijet 606 pump Had hydor rotating return for some wild flow patterns Water changes every 2 weeks, religiously Topped off by hand for 5 years Water parameters? Clueless Skimmer... nope APEX? What's that? Let's see your throw back tank? [emoji85]
  22. I'm sure Mframe will pop up here soon once he has the details finalized for C4. In the meantime... I just know June is what he's aiming for based on the meeting schedule he put out.
  23. Mini-Fungia plate factory and cup of ambrosia water pending.
  24. I like the Sicce Syncra 12 that I have been using lately. Not as loud as a Mag pump and definitely not as much heat.
