Yeah, I think the fact that they sell the apogee sensor separately now for the $155 makes it overpriced.

I have the Ocean Revive fixtures and I like their performance so far for the price. They're $200/fixture and have a full array of leds, including 420 nm.

While cool, I just haven't seen any practical need to monitor par continously. Perhaps with T5 lighting or MH, knowing when it's a good time to change the bulbs but otherwise... what? You know, I never measured the new plusrites against the new radium so sadly, I can't say. The color looks pretty spot on with the Ocean Revive units and I'm pretty impressed with how close in color it is. For long-term coloration... I really don't know yet but I have high hopes. The fixtures are easy to move up and down with the supplied cables so lowering shouldn't be an issue. I'll probably end up moving them down another 3" when it's all said and done if I had to take a guess. Again, I'll let my corals dictate and try not to just reach a par level because that's what I want in my head. I'll more than likely be supplementing with T5s down the line to get that perfect T5/LED hybrid look. I'll acclimate the tank to LEDs first and then add T5s down the line.
