I'm not really sure yet but the thought did occur to me. I've always appreciated the flowiness of the gonis to offset the lack of movement from the SPS so I may disperse them around the tank as well.

Ahh, I see now. That makes more sense. The only thing I'd maybe do is possibly add unions to your OM connections in case you ever need to service or replace it. I've never had a OM so if there is a simple disconnect system built-in, then ignore. Are you planning to use penductors for your terminal ends of return piping? I actually ramped my old gold hybrid reeflo down as well when I used one. I can't wait to have a fish room one day so I can put it online again.

Alright, so if everybody is all read up on my build thread, then you already know that I have a weak spot for fungia plates. Unfortunately, my emperor angel has other plans and likes to pick at them so that's a no go there. My other love was for gonioporas but I haven't tried any in this new tank. I do have an alveopora which is supposed to be a close and easier cousin of the goniopora but it was revealed a couple months ago that it's more closely related to acropora and that it was more a case of convergent evolution that they are so similar to goniopora. Anyways, I got a nice sampler pack of gonis and will be trying them out in the new tank. Here are the beauties!

I'm having a hard time following some of the piping behind the motions ocean. Do you have a better angle of that area? I can't tell where the pipe sticking up into the air goes.

That's crazy to think that only two would probably fit in a 215-gallon! Man, now you guys have me craving some crab legs!

It's kinda like eating snow crab. There are delicious tidbits in there but it's a ridiculous amount of work for what few morsels there is.Sometimes it's a what not to do guide. I consider my tank thread more like king crab than snow crab. [emoji41]

Do you have pictures from the tank side as well? Where's the return line for your closed loop?

My tank gets fed 3x/day with the NLS pellets MantaFan. I'm sure its a source but not overwhelming. What are you using for phosphate removal?

I'd do a bigger water change. It definitely wouldn't hurt until you find out what's going on. +1 to Juiceman, check your nutrients, nitrates and phosphates... and Mg if possible.

It's for your significant other... if you try to buy another coral or fish, they zap you.
