  1. What dip are you using? Most are iodine-based so I'd be surprised if it goes bad.
  2. How many are we at now Sascha? I have reservations about moving it with less than 6 people just because of the height of the tank right now on the stand. If it were me, I'd be worried about either the tank cracking or somebody getting hurt. If it was at more of a normal height, 4 would be fine.
  3. I despise coralline with a passion!
  4. What one do you use on 3/4"? I was looking at one of these for my tank which has either 5/8 or some metric thickness, but the magfloat takes way more work than it should and is impossible for coraline. The flipper max.
  5. Been using mine for almost a year now on 3/4" glass and works like a charm. Agreed, one of my best purchases for the tank. I will say that I feel like the magnets have lost a little strength over the year but the scraping element is still going strong. I just wiped out a 1' x 1' section of coralline last night with it after moving my stylo colony.
  6. You could probably just put the eggcrate back in and he'll just swim right back in it to save his life! If you need my trap, just let me know and I'll ping the person that has it and see if he's done with it.
  7. How many people do we have Sascha? Which Saturday?
  8. You did all the work. I just stood around and took pictures. I'm glad we were able to get it into the garage. I think I'm planning a tank moving retirement party sometime soon. Go out with a bang!
  9. I call this, Two Men and a Tank:
  10. Let's do this! We picking up that tank today? I should have the afternoon and early evening open. I just have to be done by 630pm.
  11. I borrowed the idea myself so go right ahead! [emoji16]
  12. Getting things ready for the SaoSA frag swap. I made myself two frag transport racks for a 5-gallon bucket. That way I can transport my water and a ton of frags while I'm at it in a bucket.
  13. Thank you John. That's odd, I've always heard about those silent models living up to their expectations. Perhaps there was a manufacturer defect on that one. You can't go wrong with Eheim's though.
  14. That I don't know as I've never owned SOL leds. Hopefully there's a workable solution that requires no more equipment purchases.
  15. That looks like a full Apex which has two VDM ports built-in with the controller itself. It's the two Ethernet looking ports on the far right. They can run two pieces of equipment a piece, which means really 4 VDM ports with the two connections.
  16. That's a great looking start! Did you get the Sicce Syncra Silent 3.0?
  17. Good thing you were right there! Looks like you need a lockable equipment cabinet and drill some siphon breaks on your returns.
  18. Shut it down and push that sucker into the garage! [emoji16]
  19. I'm sorry everyone! We had a death in the family and the service is that weekend. Hopefully someone can volunteer on short notice. I'll try to host again later this year.
  20. I think you'll only need 2 furniture dollies, one on each end. Everytime I try to use a 3rd in the middle, one of the three never has enough pressure on it and slides out anyways. I picked up my 215 with 3/4" thick glass (dry weight 500+ lbs) and all I did was show up with one buddy. We put it on the two dollies and strapped it down. Then pushed it into the Uhaul using the ramp, then did the same to push it into my garage. I pushed it into the house by myself another day and then we had a tank lifting party. I think that's probably the best idea is since its mid-week, to just do something similar and then find a good day for a tank lifting party when you have the stand setup and in place. Perhaps even have a meeting at the house and then everyone lift the tank for you. Anyways, not to make it harder on you but now I'm getting a range delivered on Wednesday. I'll update on the timeframe but I won't know until the night before they said. Hopefully we can work around the delivery time.
  21. I was able to buy the 1" flexible PVC at both Lowe's and Home Depot. I'd check there to see if they have any 3/4" on stock as they both sell by the foot.
  22. Thanks all for the birthday wishes! It was filled with delicious food, some good tank time, and the company of my favorite person, my wife. Couldn't ask for a better day! I'm truly blessed! [emoji4]
