Word on the street is that FarmerTy might be starting up a SPS tank soon. I only know this because I just opened up the front door and screamed this into the street. It's nice to see some acros back in the tank and not sitting in a tub anymore. I could have actually put them back awhile ago but haven't had the opportunity yet. The gameplan is to put all the acros back in the tank after the SoaSA frag swap next weekend, shut down the tub, put the frag tank online instead in its place, and store frags in there until I sell them out. The frag tank was never meant to be run full-time. I just plan to use it as frag storage leading up to a swap, use it at the swaps, and then shut it down until the next one.

Tank is looking good! Sometimes I just take my coral viewer and just stare at my corals from above for hours.

200+ frags later... Good thing my frag transport contraption can hold 300+. Here I come SoaSA!

Yes, I've done that but only with zoas. They have a very high tolerance with contact to hydrogen peroxide as opposed to SPS, which hardly have any. I am unsure about leathers as I don't have much experience with them.

That's interesting about the purple palys. I have the same purple death palys in my tank. I've ticked them off a time or two but have seen little effect in my tank. On the other hand, I've fragged them before and could feel a slight tingle while doing it. Definitely don't want to mess with those things! Hydrogen peroxide is excellent at killing all sorts of algae. My favorite is taking the rock out and hitting it with the spray bottle hydrogen peroxide, then rinsing it and putting it back in the tank. 2-3 days later... poof, no more algae.

I think 6 should do it but the more the merrier I'm sure. It's a pretty straight shot into your house, it's just getting off the stand and dolly first will be the hurdle.
