  1. I think more so that it isn't working correctly, last I heard.
  2. Oh that's cool, on Tapatalk, if you scroll and see my build thread, it shows the Gif and it's animated too as the preview.
  3. I'm running about 150-175 lbs in my 215 gal DT, another 50 lbs in my sump, and two marine pure blocks in the sump as well.
  4. If you see any dolphins, let me know! Are you upgrading to an even larger tank Ty?Yeah, I'm converting my 215 to a QT tank.
  5. Oh yeah, no comparison in my mind. Intermittent running of heater versus 3 400-watt MHs burning for 8 hrs/day... I'm winning out easily.
  6. Can never win, can we? [emoji30]
  7. I bet you that aquarium fairy has an efflo or two he can part with too.
  8. Here's my amp graph. I'm running 3 amps less when I removed the last 400-watt MH. All 3 of my LED fixtures TOGETHER use 2.5 amps versus the one MH using 3 amps and before, I was running 3 400-watt MH fixtures that were drawing 9 amps total. Going from 9 amps to 2.5 amps is awesome, and I'm not even including the fact that the chiller doesn't need to run anymore.
  9. I hope you're doing a couple water changes to mitigate some of the bloom!
  10. 3 but I need to space them better. 4 would probably be ideal over my tank but I got a reefbrite strip to light and cover most of the gaps.
  11. Kind of looks like a face at first glance.
  12. Yes sir! Definitely happy with my purchase.
  13. Spoiler alert, he just shut it down. [emoji17]
  14. I'll post it when I get back in a bit. I'm sure there's a couple of spikes missing.
  15. Something new... I get bored easily. [emoji16]
  16. Oh, she's coming, get back into the Ty crawl space!
  17. I think I'll still put an adhesive vinyl background on it with the gradient I posted earlier.
  18. Oh, by dumb luck as usual, that was already painted. It is the color of the front dining room.Once I removed the black background, it showed the blue wall paint color with just enough light hitting it to give me that.
  19. End goal: Inspiration: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1767159
  20. Thank you fellas. There are other things brewing... as always! Here's a sneak peek!
  21. I still think T5 gives the best color, but I'm not rich and can't afford to replace 16 bulbs a year to light my 215-gallon.Can I say that LEDs have advanced a bit from the simple blue and white LED setups? I'm an early adoptor in a lot of things, but when the technology is still in flux, I'd rather let someone else pay for the early trial years and I'll jump in when it has been more figured out. I've always been value-minded.
  22. Just part of a young tank. All of those things you mentioned should help it not get out of control but your tank is going to go through some ugly phases just like everyone else's at the beginning. Just ride it out and wait for your tank to stabilize while continuing your maintenance regiment.
