If the swap is in conjunction with a meeting, I'm probably not bringing the frag tank. I'll just post what I have and bring what people prepaid for to the meeting. If we were doing a legit 4hr swap like previous ones, then I'll pull out the ole' girl. Not worth it otherwise in my opinion, there's just not the same amount of traffic for a meeting versus a swap.

I've found that by angling the bit in the initial cut allows one side to dig into the glass first, then at that point, even it out slowly so that it cuts the full circle from that point. Also, if you can't borrow a kid or have one of your own, I used plumbers putty to build a ring around the hole and filled it with water to keep it wet at all times. Bobcat said it best, easy on the pressure. I actually just let the weight of the drill and gravity push it as that's more than enough.

Jeez, speaking of, I went back behind my tank last night and was reinstalling my UV when I hear this loud splash and see my lyre tail anthia skipping across the water and hitting one of my lights! My tank its covered on 3 sides but I left the back open for access. I picked up a screen from RobR and was going to install it over the back to keep all my fish friends from learning how to fly. I just needed to install the UV back there first.

I have an awful memory and somehow I remembered that! [emoji4]

If you are a premium member, you can borrow the set the club has floating around. It's real easy, just go slow, use plenty of water, tape the opposite side to prevent chipping when the bit comes out, and a towel inside the tank for when the plug falls when you've cut all the way through. Pull up a video on YouTube, it may help you visualize it.

What about Scenario 5? Everyone falls in love with FarmerTy corals, stops shopping at all the LFSs. Someone films a vine at my house with all my corals and it blows up the internet. They name a reef after me! The Great Ty Reef! I get endorsements... Yum... I eat these nori sheets everyday and look how my skin glows! A shot glass of mysis in my smoothie helps keep my energy levels up all day long! Then I get caught one day abusing calcium carbonate powder and smoking some rolled up nori... The public turns on me, my empire good down in flames, my money runs dry... I start bargaining out my services to help get my next fix... Hey, I'll test your water for you man? Just hook me up with some 2-part, the pure stuff from BRS... don't give me that cheap baking soda junk. I'll show you how to dip acros if you hook me up with two sheets of nori dude? I'm not going to get into the merits of the results of the Triton test but what I find interesting is how some of the levels have gone up in a year. With my only inputs to the system being foods, aminos, and my CaRX, it's interesting to draw some conclusions about the potential supplementation of some of these trace elements I may be getting from the melting of the CaRX media. While no hard conclusions can be drawn unless I completely isolate and test the CaRX media, but it's still interesting to see that my tank has kept or even increased certain elements such as K it Sr over time without dosing either. Something I believe you miss out on in a 2-part setup as you are dosing pure calcium carbonate in that scenario.

Talked to Aaron the other day and he said we're welcome whenever. That might work out well to have a venue too.Maybe odd of me but I really don't feel comfortable selling my frags at a LFS.It's like me making my own sandwiches and setting up a table inside Subway to sell them. Well that joy ride ended quick. I had combined my wrasses with my tangs and cleaner wrasse to shut down the two extra tanks I was running. Everything looked good and the wrasses were coming out to explore and the tangs paid them no mind at all as expected. The cleaner wrasse even started to clean them. I go to run an alk test on my main DT and come back to the Phillipine male cf. lunate wrasse on the carpet, dead as a doornail. He jumped 14" out of the water to make it out of the tub! I can't win this week with fish... [emoji53]
