  1. Final day to submit SPS photo contest pictures!

  2. Ok, at first I thought you had gotten your hands on your very own Lytro... I was going to be really jealous I have also been watching the development of the Lytro, and was wondering how it would do with a tank... and it looks like it does pretty darn good! While not a replacement for a DSLR, having the ability to refocus after-the-fact is awesome.
  3. It being in a corner near the glass could also be it fighting with it's own reflection too. I tried keeping 2 six lines in a 75 g any the would squabble.
  4. Much better on the photo contest entries. Keep them coming folks!

  5. Really? No photo contest entries?

Mark: Sure, though I am not if the Dome ships stuff ;)

  6. Bristleworms are a valuable part of your clean up crew.
  7. So far, so good. Trying to keep my calendar clear to make it to the meeting.
  8. The category for March is: SPS. Show us your best shots of a SPS. Please note the new rules: Picture must be taken by you. One entry per person. Picture must be of an SPS in a fish tank or ocean. (New) You may only win once per calendar year. Thus if you win a photo contest in 2012, you will not be able to enter any future contests for the year. We feel this gives everyone a chance in the contests throughout the year. Submit your photos to the following gallery: http://www.austinree...m/416-march-12/ Submissions close at midnight March 15th. Winner receives a $25 Aqua-Dome gift certificate!

  10. Extra day to vote in the picture contest! Happy Leap Day!

  11. I like the idea of them hiding powerheads.
  12. It seems that it is time to remind people of proper forum conduct. ARC is designed to be open to all people to use and enjoy. As such, the conversations here need to remain civilized. To that end, flaming (personal verbal attacks, slurs, slamming, racism, etc) will not be tolerated. If you see such activity, please use the 'Report' button located at the bottom right of each post. Do not engage in the same activity with responses. These will also be construed as flaming and dealt with similarly. Please leave it to the ARC staff to deal with. Also remember that the staff is not on the board 24/7, so it might take time to take down offensive posts, deal with offenders. While each case will be dealt with individually, we will be in general enforcing the following: First time violators will be issued a warning. Second time violators will have their posting privileges changed to require moderator approval. Third time violators will be banned from the forum for a year. If you're banned you forfeit any membership benefits you may have at the time. Warning levels will be decreased at the discretion of the ARC staff after a period of "good" behavior. When in doubt please review the forum rules here. Please feel free to contact the staff with any questions.
  13. Yeah, doesn't look good... sorry. Shipping can be hard on animals.
  14. You might point out if she does then she would be stuck with the body and the tank to get rid of. Depends on how good the clean up crew is
  15. Give him some time. As long as he is not dropping spines, he needs to acclimate to your tank.
  16. I actually love 6 lines, and have never had problems with them. I need to add another one to my tank again. The last one I got was ultra-fresh from the ocean and I think brought in something that took out my swallowtail angel.
