"Got bored"
Pretty cool!

wow, i was expecting these cameras to be in the thousands of dollars range with same fancy lens on a DSLR. But, they don't cost nearly that much.
My new LED lights for my 75g cost more than the camera

Am disappointment this was not an animated gif announcement

Taken this morning with just my supplemental white stunner LEDs on, a picture of one of the new conchs I added to the tank:

Yay for the cycle!

Must ... stop... looking....

RCA had a bunch of sea hares in yesterday.

I think I need one of those in my OFFICE tank. We'll see if the lights I wind up with will support it.
Tank is looking good James!
They had another one in the invert tanks ... and I took a gamble on coloring, as the invert tanks didn't have any "real" lighting on them like the coral ones.

Since my last post, I started a new business and quit my tile business all together. I started a photo booth rental business where we rent photo booths for all kinds of events. From weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, to proms, graduations, and conferences. Feel free to check me out at partytimebooths.com.
PS. Might be kinda cool for an event like C4. You could have the C4 or ARC logo in the background of all of the pictures taken with the green screen.
Were you on Shark Tank?

Lights are doing great, and everything adjusted well to them, no loses.
I am at the tail end of a mini algae cycle due to the new lights, can't wait till it is done.

I have been starting to look at controllers, but was leaning towards an Apex because I could directly control the dimming of my BuildMyLED fixtures with it.
Any idea if there is a way to also do that with the ReefKeepers?

have you ever tried the "rolling hills" look like that? I tried it with my freshwater tanks, but it always just ends up flattened out after a while. does the SW substrate hold that shape better? i'm trying to plan my sandbed and want varying depths like that. i'm thinking i need to build levies.
I find the power heads that we use in saltwater tanks tend to do more of the shaping of the substrate. Plus there are a lot more fish/snails/stuff that bury and move the substrate around in saltwater tanks... I wouldn't get hooked on what it looks like, because over time it will change.

Like the layout! You going to put an eel in there to enjoy all those caves? I bet the kids would love it

Thanks for the support!

Price reduction to $40.

Finally got one with decent depth, and the ability to focus on both the foreground and background subject.
Click and drag your mouse around on it for the "perspective shift", where everything is in focus... pretty neat.

Thanks folks... I still have a lot to learn on composing good shots with it. Will continue to post updates here. I need to figure out if I can embed specific photo's into a comment on this board, so far no dice.

So I got a new toy, a Lytro light field camera. While not meant as an everyday camera, it is awesome for the artistic shots you can take.
While I am still learning the ropes, I have taken some pictures of my tank. You can see them on my Fish Tank Page.-

The mini carpet keeps growing it seems... and I am surprised it has not moved yet. It is partially shaded, but seems content where it is.
