    Way to go cmanning!
  3. This is what my Scopas Tang and Flame Angel do. The back wall of my tank is green, but no more algae on my rocks. I supplement with dried algae, which is loves.
  4. Wo.. didn't know they moved. Still not closer to me

    corals

Moving this to the "Want To Buy" section. And I have gotten a frag of acans from reef_pug and they are nice
  6. Good info... thanks! Losing one snail or crab every once and a while is not bad. I probably lose that now in snails with a predatory eunice worm that I have in the tank.
  7. I would be like Andrew and do a specialty tank, such a species specific biotope. Some examples would be a seahorse/pipefish tank, jawfish tank, or even a cool frogfish tank (I have seem some beautiful ones online complete with macro algae in the main display).
  8. I thought coris wrasses were not reef safe? Hmm.. LiveAquaria says: I might have to reconsider the one I saw at the Dome, as I have been looking for an active yellow fish.
  9. The rock shelves rock!! Very awesome looking ... can't wait to see fish and corals in it down the road.
  10. Great idea for a thread. Moving it to the DIY section.

    Hello

Welcome! Angelfish (well most Amazonian fish) were some of my favorite FW fish to keep.

Welcome! 45 to 125 gallons is a niiiice upgrade!

    --new here!

Welcome! I don't think you will have a problem finding a smallish tank to fit your needs once you get here.

    Hi Everyone

Welcome (back) to the saltwater side!

    New to ARC

Welcome! I am a big fan of the "cove" look to live rock landscaping. Regarding the crushed coral. One limitation you might hit down the road is keeping any sand dwelling fish (such as jawfish). The crushed coral would be too abrasive for them.
  16. Used to go there all the time for freshwater fish... I am echoing Ashley's question ... have they ventured into saltwater?
  17. I was at Aquadome yesterday and they had two nice large anthias'.
  18. My Scopas Tang swims around a lot in my 75 gallon. And he gets along just fine with my Flame Angel. And +1 to the 6 Line wrasse. While not as large, mine explores every nook and cranny of the tank. I have to be careful when I turn off my Korlias for feeding. I have caught him checking out the inside of them!
  19. I am 2 days into my new Phoenix 14K's, but I am really liking them. I liked the blueness in my old 20Ks, and from the get-go, the Phoenixs have shown a nice blue color. It is killing me having a reduced light period while waiting for the corals to acclimate
  20. Glad to be of assistance. The Painted Buntings I guess are somewhat common around Texas. We have 2 males and three females that come around here. The females are all green. Here are some pictures of them yesterday. Male and female: And a not-so-nice looking visitor we had:
  21. Right now running 2 150W 20K MHs. 10am on 10pm off. Switching to 14k's this week, so will be reducing my light schedule to 5pm on, 10pm off and then slowly lengthening it.
  22. Great pictures... and that Luna Moth is beautiful! To be able to see one of those in your backyard is cool. Now you are making me want to get pictures of the Painted Buntings that come to our feeder and pond...
