  1. Bu.. bu.. but I am not ready to upgrade my 75 gallon yet! Now how come I didn't think about the put the 24g in the nursery line
  2. I have a similar HOB fuge, and I also had the "scum" on the surface problem for a while. It went away on it's own after a few months.
  3. Agreed. Just got around to catching up on nano-reef, and they had a data loss of half a month of posts....
  4. Looks like RC is shut down for good: Link Edit: sorry, maybe not ... Going to Reef Central says they will back.
  5. Well, I knew about those two, but I guess what I was looking for was the "Mark this forum as read" to take me back to the index. Right now it leaves me in the forum I was reading. It is a nitpick thing, as it really only saves 1 click
  6. I miss the "mark this forum read and return to board index feature". I know I can do that from the main index, but was looking for it while reading a forum.
  7. I would say yes ... unless you really like them If they are curly q anemones, they will most likely spread.

    Hi Everybody

Welcome! Be sure to keep us up-to-date as you set up your tank.
  9. Yes there is. If you go to post that started the thread, click Edit, then click USe Full Editor (or something like that), you can edit the thread title.
  10. Which one? The top left most polyp (the whitish one) looks like a pest anemone, almost like a curly queue (Same with the bottom right most). The two in the middle look like zoanthids.
  11. I somewhat agree with your proposed method. I can understand the possible frustration of looking through a multi-page thread only to find the order has already been made. But I unsure of the recommendation to create multiple threads for one order... that seems to me to only complicate the issue more. I will throw out another alternative. Maybe we could institute where the thread originator updates the thread title to include the status of that group buy, such as: [Open] Vivid Order #5000 [Ordered] Vivid Order #4999 [Delivered] Vivid Order #4998 [Closed] Vivid Order #4997 That way comments about how the order went and pictures can all be kept together. I would even volunteer my time to update the more recent threads with the [Closed] tag, if that was a path we all decided to go down.
  12. Nice! Am very glad to see positive results from this. I started this same dosing regiment a few weeks back, so looking forward to having similar results Have you noticed any improvements/changes with your acans?
  13. Pretty much Zarathustra2 has all of the tips. I recently changed the bulbs in my MH, and I cut my lighting schedule in half. I am upping it by an hour each week. So far most everything seems happy with it. Though I have two Acan's I am watching, as they are not happy ... yet two others are just fine.
  14. I have a pair of Phase Technology Teatro 7.5 floor speakers that I am not using. They produce excellent sound, and are in great condition. The fronts/tops/sides are in great condition. Selling them because we do not have room for them with my current TV setup. Tested them and work fantastic. Asking $150 $100 for the pair $50 for the pair. They look like this (but mine are black): Each speaker's dimension: Width 9.5 in. Depth 11 in. Height 36.25 in.
  15. Also, if you are using different lighting than the previous tank the rock was in, this could cause coraline bleaching.
  16. Love the growth shots.... especially the first one. Really shows what having patience in this hobby achieves.

    New to ARC

You might be able to get away with a watchman/shrimp pair as the shrimp does most the digging. Though I might still be a bit concerned about the fish scraping it's sides up.
  18. Did you take that with your 3GS? Cool looking fish.
  19. When I had my nano-sized tank, I did a few minor mods. I drilled a hole in the false wall to accommodate a second pump and spray bar. I also replaced the fans in the hood with some quieter ones. Nothing too exciting
  20. And the journey begins Congrats on starting off, and good job on all of the research you are doing.
  21. Another option is to make a rock wall out of small live rock pieces and acrylic rods or PVC pipe. I have seen this done either drilling holes in the rocks vertically and sliding them on the rod, or making a support frame of PVC, with pieces stikign out that you mount the rock too. Now that I am talking about it ... I kinda wish I did that with my current tank.
