if youre going apex, check out the DC pumps that are flow controllable (jebao, speedwave, diablo, etc.). really high flow, low heat.

When you add up the wattage from 3 iwakis, it's like having nearly a 900w heater running 24/7 ! I'd reevaluate your pumping needs and see if you can get rid of some pumps.

I use uverse. For reefing purposes, setting up the router is much more of a pain than when i used TWC. However in terms of service there is no comparison, uverse by a mile. I'm a pretty heavy internet consumer (netflix, games, etc) and i've never busted the cap.

The difference between mud and sand is grain size, although mud isn't really a geologically recognized grain classification. It's more like sand and then beneath sand is clay, which for out purposes behaves like a mud. "Mud" also tends to be heavily organic.

As far as where to get it, make sure you're getting a quality bulb. I don't know who makes the best stuff at 150w or 175 watt, especially if it's de.

Correct. I'd look at other peoples tanks with various colors, as it mostly comes down to personal preference.

The only places that have them around town would be LFS, and it's iffy if they do. amazon prime can get them to you in two days, 4 bucks for overnight.

You're missing something! Dosing is critical to many tanks, and I didn't start to have good success until i started to keep track of and maintain alk/ca/mg.

I've got 250w of MH over my 29 , which i consider to be on the high end and requires both light spill management and temperature management (evaporation fan and chiller). it's a pendant fwiw, and I would try to mount it out of canopy if possible. many consider 10k to be a little more yellow than is palatable. Popular color spectrums are 14k-20k.

That sounds like RTN to me. Birdsnests have a reputation for being picky beasts and can lose all their tissue in pretty short order if they're unhappy.
