  1. $15 BC29 hood with LED setup. $200 Apex ready LED setup. 2x meanwell 48d drivers. read about the build here: http://www.austinreefclub.com/topic/27592-redoing-my-leds-need-an-opinion-on-layout/ 13 RB , 6 neutral white, 1 blue, 2 warm white 2 cool white. The RBs are on a meanwell 48D @ 1 amp and the others are on another 48D at 800 mA. This light will grow anything you want it to, and it'll do it at 50% power at like 500 PAR. Three fans keep the fixture nice and cool. Moonlights included also. I can't find the rear lid atm, but i know it's around somewhere. FTS with fixture
  2. doesnt matter typically. some dose alk at night, but it never made enough of a difference for me to care.
  3. add 20% of the necessary solution to get your calcium where it needs to be and measure the increase in calc and decrease in calc. that's not a rollercoaster by any means and shouldnt have significant impact on your alk.
  4. Why don't you just add maybe 20% of the solution and see how it affects the alkalinity ( i doubt it will change at all) and if it does just dose alk accordingly;
  5. 480 is too high and won't benefit your animals. You're just gonna precipitate more in your equipment.
  6. that sounds weird to me.... check your apex clock time.
  7. There is a cure, but it's expensive.

  16. I've got the 3000 coming in.
  17. To echo jamie's points, you could probably go either way and it would be fine. On the one hand, you want the "rawest" water (minus mechanical filtering) to hit the fuge because the algae gets the highest potential nutrient. Effluent from GFO or Carbon is going to pack a little less punch. On the other hand, you could get more crud in fuge area, which may be more difficult to export, if that's your aim.
  18. I really feel like Neptune needs to take advantage of this multidriver movement, and put out a full 4 channels per VDM port for a total of 8 channels. Hell, a 3rd port sans VDM expansion box would be amazing.
  19. For ty's birthday, he's buying us all WP40's! Happy birthday ty, you heard it here first!
  20. Very impressed with the build quality and documentation! I, for one, am ready to see how it performs!
