  1. notice how there is absolutely no qualm about taking away your space. in addition, your closet has been relocated to your sump cabinet. "MIke you smell kind of weird today, what is the cologne you're wearing?" "salt spray...."
  2. this is not going to end well for you mike. are you totally prepared to have to give up another room her purse/shoe racks? because it's coming. just you wait.
  3. Still waiting on mine to grow out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. either way, i like the look of it alot.
  5. or you could use a humidostat like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Honeywell-H8908B-Whole-House-Humidistat/dp/B001QOGNMI connected to an apex breakoutbox. you need to be aware that when you wire up the humidostat that the "on/off" will be reversed from what it normally is. So when the apex sees the switch as "on" the vent fan should actually be "off". here's a thread about it on RC. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?p=17972086
  6. there is a fastenal right next to the grainger in south austin (benwhite/montopolis).
  7. I've got one you can borrow. It's just a hangon cannister filter that uses a pleated mechanical filter to pull out fines.
  8. I don't know what your sump situation is, but frequently rinsing the fines out your filter socks and/or using a HOT Magnum micron filter has always worked wonders for me.
  9. I've been here since yesterday, and I've been talking to your family and they just love you like crazy. There's nothing they will do to make this get better, there's nothing they won't to do help this continue another single day. /intervention.
  10. what are your plans in terms of humidity control for the fish room?

  12. I dunno man, a quick googling turns up quite a few " EVERYTHING IS DEAD" GE silicon II threads. If it were me, I'd redo it with something that was reef safe :/ Everything could totally be fine, but I just wouldn't take the chance.
  13. yeah, sounds like your issue is microbubbles. you need to separate the skimmer from the return pump via baffles. google DIY bubble trap or DIY baffle for sump.
  14. do you have something that looks like this between your skimmer and your return pump?
  15. HOB's have a tendency to dump bubbles back into the tank in my experience. If you leave the HOB off for a bit, do the bubbles disappear? Do you have a bubble trap inbetween the skimmer and the return pump?
  16. HOW DARE YOU SARCASM ME! I couldn't tell if it was an oblique/downward shot or a top down shot.
  17. are you taking those through the glass or through one of the viewfinder things?
  18. I knew you'd see the light and understand less technology more biology. Glad to see your making sense now I don't know, that one looks pretty efficient. Maybe not so much in the footprint though. I knew you'd see the light and understand less technology more biology. Glad to see *you're* making sense now
