I don't have a frame of reference, as I started my tank with LEDs, but I have coralline on the back edge of the tank and the rocks. Maybe your SPS are leaching out the calcium that the coralline used to have in excess.

I've got several red monti caps and leng sy monti cap frags . Also a few quarter size frags of pink/purple chalice. $5 for the small red caps, $10 for the large red cap, $10 for the leng sy. $5 for the chalice frags.

Just getting my feet wet with kalk, it was amazing how much happier everything looked and started growing when I got more Ca/Alk into the water

Negative. I've only had a reef tank for 11ish months or so. I've done saltwater before many years ago, and have had aquariums since I was very young. In addition, I work in a field that is pretty compatible with aquariums in terms of knowledge, but I agree it's surprising I haven't had one yet. I'm excited to try them as well.
