It looks good! My only suggestion is aesthetic. It looks "sparse" to me, unless you're going to have quite a bit on the sandbed. I'd like more rock for more frags

another suggestion for something that I see fairly regularly, it seems in bad taste to price haggle in the thread. If you want to PM an offer, fine, but don't do it out in the open where a seller has to be put in the position of kindly rejecting you,.

I don't think that 4 is a purple bonsai. The corralites on mine are less rounded, and with bright green polyps.

I think your thunderdome analagy would still be in place. Maroon's are notoriously aggressive (and would eventually be too large for your tank). If you wanted to have a damsel, it would likely be the only longterm inhabitant. As long as you're cool with that, a damsel would probably be perfectly happy as the boss of a 16hg.

Still man, that is a really heavy fish load for a 16g tank. I feel that my tank is adequately stocked with a pair of ocellaris and a purple firefish. in a 29g tank... I'll leave this be, but you're tempting fate with that many fish, notwithstanding the aggression issues that they will likely have.

Truth mitch. I can very easily spend 100-200 per month in extra electricity if i crank my AC down for the tank (with the obvious correlation to higher outside ambient temps). It doesn't take too terrible long to payback a chiller's upfront cost. I however do not have a monthly operating cost for a chiller handy, but I can't imagine it would be more than a couple bucks a month.

The solid color back made me think it was a biocube. You said you had a pico as well, i thought picture 1 and two were different tanks, the second one being a pico. MY BAD.

Echoing what is said by others, cut back into the healthy tissue and keep the nutrients to a level where algae isn't as likely to grow. Cut feedings, skim a little wetter, water changes, change GFO, etc. Good luck!
