GAC is kind of the miracle cure-all, and I use it extensively to clean some terrible contaminants out of groundwater. I'd use a pretty aggressive changing schedule, and don't worry about the "quality" of the carbon. At this point quantity is going to win the game. I've got quite a bit if you want some.

The story of how I got a 2nd firefish: bio3 came over to pick up a firefish and some live rock from another tank breakdown. Had the firefish in a breeder net. I was making a comment about how the firefish was a jumper when I was catching him in the old tank, and he shot out of the breeder net into my tank. And that friends, is how i got a second firefish, because i wasn't about to tear my tank up to pull him out. I'll get him one of these days chris

i wouldn't use any other browser . For whatever reason, when I drop my LED into the array, it doesn't register. SO i turned on an incognito window (with all extensions/plugins off) and it works fine. Much better .

you could do several 12" fixtures perpendicular to your tank, or maybe 2 12" and a 48". If I'm reading the costs correctly, $269 for a custom LED fixture? Will change the game for sure if they can live up to it. Problems thus far is that the interface is clunky (having some real trouble dropping LEDs on the graphic to customize) and the text is all wonked up on the right nav bar. Doesn't really dampen my excitement though...

the rock and firefish are spoken for. the clown is still available. he's a tiny little guy with interesting pattern. would be a good fit for smaller tanks.

i didn't mean all for 10. i meant 10 for rock, 10 for clownfish, 10 for firefish.

These are all from Vek's tank. I'd like to rehome them all to people who intend to keep them in their tank. simply make a contribution to the club and you can take home all the rock (gotta take it all), the clown, or the firefish. I think $10 is appropriate for any one of the three items. Full disclosure, the rock has GHA and potentially other pests (aiptasia, etc).

+1 for tek. I ran one over a freshwater tank, and was very impressed with the build quality.
