    With all of my large tangs and new school of Anthias', I'm going through a lot of rods food. I was thinking about making my own with mixed seafood, etc. Has anyone done this and found some good mixes/ places to get them From?

    It's kind of like that, but not quite. Ozone is O3 which really only serves to break down organics by increasing the ORP. Downside is that it produces some nasty chemicals as byproduct that need to be removed via carbon. It's too risky IMO for what you can achieve with other means. Thanks for clarifying.     Ozone was used alot to raise oxygen levels prior to skimmers being as good as they are now.

    ORP is only good if a handful of things. typically you'd see a drop in ORP if something died or if the skimmer stops running, etc. I pretty much don't pay attention to it.

    hmm, Id say to see about buying a whole canister from River City, Aquatek, or maybe a generic one from Home depot. I believe the LFS may carry the BRS ones. Home depot for sure would have your standard water filter one. I'm not sure how different they are though.

    I used BRS dosers for about a year. Once I started getting good SPS growth, I noticed that I was adding about a Gallon of ALK and CA solution every month. It wasn't very cost effective and time consuming having to constantly make sure if had enough. I have switched to a large CARX and I would never go back on a large tank. Set and forget. I check things every now and again and make sure there's no clogs and my APEX checks the PH of the reactor 24/7 so I don't worry about it!

    FYI, A Sohal, Powder Blue, Achilles, Naso, Chocolate, Hippo, Purple, Yellow, and Sailfin Tang in a 200g tank is WWIII! LOL

      The Achilles and the Powder went at it hardcore the first day! Scratched each other all up! They're healed already and eating right next to each other.
