  3. When I had them set up that way with the halides sitting above the canopy and the VHO's in the front and back, they lit up well. Worst case senario, move the halides up and see if it does the trick. You can always change the bulb in the front for a different spectrum and keep the old actinic as a replacement for you're back.
  4. Yeah, that's why I'm not asking much for the set-up.
  5. I had my VHO's in the back of the tank and my halides in the front and they worked well. Right now I have my VHO's on the front and back, it's alot more even. Would you be able to raise the halides at all, like remove the top of the canopy? That would remove some of you're problem too. I think if you did move it down in from of the halides the way you have now, you can keep the actinic and it should shine through fine.
  6. For sale: Used Euro-Reef RS-250 Protein Skimmer - AS-IS I had this skimmer running on my 200g tank. It's rated to 250 gallons. It worked very well up until a few days ago. The pump shut off. I pulled it out and cleaned it. Put it back in, it worked for a few seconds, then turned back off again. So I pulled it out and plugged it in in a different socket in the house, it worked for a second then flipped the breaker. I tried another plug, and it did the same thing. I don't know enough about pumps and what not to figure out what is wrong, but I'd imagine to someone that knows how to fix pumps, this would be a great deal. It could be as simple as getting a new impeller since I did see a small crack on the outside of the magnet part of the impeller, but I'm no expert on the matter. The body of the skimmer is great with only a little cleaning needed to make it look new again. I know the skimmer retails for $470 new, being that it's not working I'm only asking for 50$ Cash or Paypal Near 183 and 620

I took it out of the sump because it stopped working, cleaned it just in case, and that's when I discovered it was doing that. It comes on for a split second, then flips the circuit.

Have you added anything else on the breaker? I'd try another breaker like timfish said

It stopped working in the tank, moved it to a separate plug, did the same thing, moved it to a separate plug in a different room, same thing.

  14. I was doing similar water changes but was siphoning it all out the the process and it helped clear them up, I also raised my ph a lot too. With doing that once every day or two, they were gone pretty quick. Also with less feeding.
  15. I'm less interested in the flow and more interested in the heat now
