I recently had one of the plugs on my EB8 stop switching and it would just stay on all the time. I called about sending it in, but that brought up the same problem, what will I do in the mean time?! They said "most" people find this the opportune time to purchase a back-up! lol! would have been nice to borrow one instead of buying another

I have 2 female and 1 male Bartlett Anthias' that I got from Stephen a while back when he was doing All WYSIWYG. I stopped seeing the smaller of the females for about a week so I just assumed she was dead. Just recently she began to come out of a small nook on the right side of the tank to eat when I feed. She stays in that nook almost all day and night. I see the male go into the nook every now and then also. Is it possible that they laid eggs in my tank and she is protecting them? Any other thoughts

I have had one since I started my tank almost 2 years ago. He has picked on other fish before but never anything crazy. I still have him and he doesn't current bother any of his tank mates.

I use the 3 way splitter so I can plug multiple things into the same outlet if they are on the same schedule. Like I have all 3 of my LED fixtures white's on the same outlet. same for Blues. The Dimmer is totally separate from actually powering the unit. It would be much easier to be able to just use the dimmer but when set to off, the Build My LED will be at 10% and not 0%.

Ok, So I won this on last week from Austin Aqua Farms I went to pick it up on Saturday at about 4:00 just before they shut down. I put it in the glove box so that it wouldn't change temperature too much since I was still running errands. Well I forgot about them when I got home. I didn't remember about them until about 3:00 the next day!! So they sat outside in the cold during the day, the night, and the morning the next day. When I pulled it out, it was very cold, and closed up. I put them into the tank to hurry up and get them out of that temperature. Within minutes, they started to open up. Before the end of the night they were 100% open like nothing happened! Might have been different had it been an SPS, but hey, I won't complain!!

Yes, you have to use a plug on the EB8 to do it. May I suggest what I did on my Apex. I have these: $5 at Wal-Mart Any equipment that I would run on the same schedule, I wire to the same outlet with a 3 way splitter. I have 14 items plugged into 1 EB8 and am only using 6 amps.

Are you running any carbon?

I'm thinking there's excess nutrients in play here more than your lighting schedule. Have you been siphoning out what's on your substrate each day? Is there any food settling near there?
