Just put a piece of shrimp on the end of a fishing line and if its gone in the morning, you know he's in the sump.

Well, found him in the sump today! Patiently waited for the chance to net him. Put him back in the tank. I'm pretty sure he went back down the overflow within 30 seconds!

  4. Same here. I just pulled my vho setup off my tank. No bulbs though. Just ballast and endcaps
  5. Hmm, so you want the waste water resevior to trigger the auto shutoff also? Idk. You probably have to have a chevkvalve and a float valve for the waste water. I think your supposed to end up with twice the waste water as ro water.
  6. Can defiantly help with some frags. I have an extra korelia 750 I just can't find the outside magnet for it. Check with your insurance, some times you can claim your live rock, tank, and hardware. Just no live stock.
  7. Yeah, the focus of the Houston "aquarium" is the restaurant. Not the fish. That's just for aesthetics.
  8. Ok, Hanging the lights take 2. After a conversation with the hardware guy at Home Depot. I changed how I was hanging everything. He suggested I screw a 1x4 to the beams in the ceiling and then mounting the hanging equipment to the 1x4. This was the weight is distributed more evenly and the wood can be extremely sturdy on the ceiling. And here we are hung and leveled! I added the hanging kit parts from the Evo150s just to reinforce the hanging lines. There's much weight if any on the outside lines, just the 2 main lines. I mounted my Build My LED fixtures to the beams with L brackets and used Nylon Lock Nuts to tighten them in a diagonal position. The cords look a mess and but I'll take care of that after Christmas. I'll go back and paint the wood to match the ceiling and a few other aesthetics later. For now I'll run the lights to let the Corals get some rays, then get ready for Christmas EVE!
  9. Well I have been wanting to add some loc-line to my returns to direct some flow towards some dead spots in the back. When I went to do so I couldn't reach anything with my canopy in the way. That leads to what my task was for the day. Ditching the canopy and my Vhos, and hanging my lights from the ceiling with the replacing of the vhos by a Super Actinic spectrum LED from Build my LED. I ordered an Aqua Illuminations hanging kit so I would have some maneuverability, and picked up some shelving rails and nuts a bolts from Home Depot. All mounted and ready to hang! Well, I have the greatest girlfriend in the world! The right hanging mount came flying out of the ceiling right as we were hanging the lights and the right evo150 dunked into the water for a second before she saved it!! I pulled it apart and have it sitting open with some fans so it can dry out, but nothing was on so hopefully nothing was hurt or damaged. I'm leaving it overnight just to be safe. Well the rooms a mess and I have to wait until tomorrow but basically the bolt that mounted into the ceiling wasn't long enough to let the brace spring horizontal so it could hold. Bu of course you can see that since it was covered by the covering for the hole. So I have to get a longer bolt so it can get high enough for the brace to spring. Then we will try again. It could have been a lot worse so I am thankful!
  10. It's coming together well. I added a few zoas, mushrooms, Xenia, and a birdsnest colony that I had extra from my 200. Things seem to be doing well. I made a top for the tank with black egg crate and black netting that I had so I hopefully won't have any jumpers. Here's an updated pic.
  11. Contact Nick from BML. You can go by the office and look at a few different examples and see what you like.
  12. I had the same issue and had to have one made. Prof did it for me but I know he was shutting down his business. You can get the acrylic sheets cut to size but some local places off burnet, (I forget the name) and do It your self. The supplies to make mine was about $75 and it holds roughly 13-15 gallons of water. Prof charged me less than that.
  13. I'd recommend you to replace that center white with a UV instead of a blue. Based on what I've seen and my experience with my EVO fixtures. If you look at the 10 gal I did you can see it. Looks like a solid 14k-16k.
  14. Yeah, I have one on my 10g office tank. I put a pic in my build thread. I have a super actinic i'm installing on my 200 today. Will post pic with it on there once I finish tonight!
  15. I can if it has contact with every rock. If you keep it isolated, it won't
  16. You make it sound like an addiction! lol
  17. I pulled some of my Xenia away from where it was crowding some SPS. Come get it! about 4 small stalks! Pick-up is in Manor. First come
  18. I would be interested in the Ramora if you part. Thanks!
