  3. I should add that my membranes, and DI are about 4 months old, but my Micron and Carbon could probably be changed, the Micron is looking pretty dirty.

  9. my skimmer goes nuts if the water level changes in the sump, which happens with my top off pump stays on a little too long. is it possible that it's lower in the water than usual?

  15. I'd say, start moving your old water into the new system 10-20g at a time and add the new water to your current system. Maybe do that once a week. This way it's like small water changes that eventually equalize the water between the two tanks? That would be the slower version of what you're planning.
  16. Smart Start is the same concept as Dr. Tims. Tim's is more expensive for less solution, Start Smart is a lot less for way more bacteria. I use ZeoBak but that's definitely expensive but so is everything else for Zeovit. Tang first for sure, but only which ever timid tang you want, ie hippo or similar.
