  1. Welcome to the club! You are one brave lady, grooming cats, yikes! There are several of us on here successfully running small pico and nano sized tanks, so feel free to ask any questions that come up
  2. Wow, that looks SO COOL! I love the shape of the tank and how you placed the rock. Awesome.
  3. I can't imagine 1.5 hours being a problem at all. Just use a small cooler to keep them in.
  4. Thanks guys! I'm still not too sure on coral. I'd really like to come up with a plan ahead of time. I just started running the light so I have some diatoms at the moment. After this kind of stuff clears I do have some zoas ready to go in. That's about it so far. I'm liking the aquascape too!
  5. You have done a ton in just a year's time, wow. Your tanks look great and so do the seahorses! Good luck with everything, including the baby Fun times ahead!
  6. Finished turning the AC70 into a refugium. I used an old rio mini light I got free with a tank purchase, a very small section of plastic canvas to block the front (it just slides right in), and a little clump of cheato from my lagoon tank. I may cut a hole in the lid of the AC70 for the light to shine through, or just leave the lid off, or not mess with it. It actually seems pretty bright through the lid.
  7. I couldn't agree more! If only we had a bigger house...
  8. Sorry you're having to shut down the pico, it was sure looking great!!
  9. wow! My husband would be in heaven.

Yeah I guess the skirts are the tiniest bit longer. Other than that they look the same irl, I just don't have the nice camera set up she has. No problem though, just wanted to offer since you asked.

  17. Can we start a discussion or just get some clarification about the corals all needing to be aquacultured. It seems like such a simple rule (and a great one) but I find myself wondering about a few things. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what about plates? I have one that grew out of a piece of rock that was a complete surprise. The tiny beginning of it came from the ocean, so unless I were to be able to cut a frag from it, it's never considered aquacultured, right? Even though I've had it for at least a year if not two? Same for another plate, came right from the ocean and has been in my tank for over a year. It seems the obvious answer is no about the aquacultured part but wanted to put it out there.
  18. That would be awesome! Looks really good!
  19. My first coral was gsp that I got rid of years ago. Cool idea for a thread though!
  20. Welcome to the club! I'd love to see pictures of your tanks.
