1. Awesome! I've been waiting to see you start a build thread. Nice looking tank!
  2. Sorry you lost your coral, that's a huge bummer!
3. Yes I have this one for sale. I can also offer a light to go with it, it's an led light but not super bright like to grow sps, but is fine for lower light coral. And certainly good for fish. If you need a whole package, light and all.

http://www.austinreefclub.com/topic/26436-aio-65g-acrylic-nano-tank/
4. Awww, that's kind of sad. Goodbye tank, it was a great one!
5. I don't want to derail this thread but I have to ask more about this. I hadn't considered dry rock to cycle like that. I was planning on aquascaping with the dry rock, adding sand, water, etc, and letting things stabilize in the tank, in the house. I really can't have a big stinky rotten smelling tank in the house during the weeks to come. Is the best way to do this to cycle it in a tub in the garage? Would adding something like Dr Tim's help it along faster?
  6. I can meet at rca in the morning. If no one else can, I can just pick up Monday if that would be more convenient.
  7. I'm curious about this too. I just bought a bunch of rock from there and didn't expect it to cycle like it has a bunch of die off.
  8. Just as a regular little reef nano. Mostly to hold corals from my seahorse tank shut down. It makes a very nice little tank, esp with the back chambers. I grew lots of cheato back there
  9. Thanks! I'm also open to trades, equipment or coral.
10. Selling an acrylic AIO nano tank with pump and tubing, ready to fill and run, without light. The back holds 2g and has a center chamber ready for a dsb, refugium, rubble, media, etc. Has some light scratches but not noticeable when wet. Total system volume = 8.5g Asking $50 OBO
  11. Just finished ordering the apex and accessories. Man was that expensive!

Yeup, they are clever how they suck you in at the lower price points and then the first thing you want to do is get some other probe or more outlets as soon as you get your main unit!

As an AI owner, she gets kind of jobbed because there is absolutely no reason to buy a full apex since the you need a VDM to connect to the goofy AI interface cable. I blame AI.

if you have AI Vega it does not work with apex only the sol will

  12. What types of macro are you looking for? Or trying to avoid?
  13. I don't know anything of them carrying disease either but I can see putting them in something else for a while to sort out the ones that didn't make it through shipping. I hate dumping a bag of snails in only to find out I littered my sandbed with a bunch of empty/dead snail shells. That's if you order them.
  14.

Awesome, congrats!! I'm glad you resurrected this thread, it's a fun one!
15. You made yours? With parts from a hardware store? Did you follow plans or make it up?
  16. Yay for all the new 90 gallons going up!!
  17. I bought this a while back to use on my non-drilled 65, but decided to upgrade to a reef ready 90gal. Too late to return it. It has never touched water and is still in all the packaging. Comes with 2 extra j tubes and the lifereef silencer. This is easily one of the most reliable hob overflows available. For the overflow, silencer, and extra j tubes I paid $176 not counting shipping and tax. http://www.lifereef.com/siphon.html Asking $150 OBO J tube 2 extra J tubes
  18. Durso standpipe, okay I'll look into it. I thought there might be different kinds. Thank you!
  19.

Sounds good to me! Thanks!

20. I'm in for around $100, just haven't finished looking at the site yet. I do have a question though, if he wants only one order placed how are we going to tell what's what? Usually all the bags are marked with the name of who ordered it.

21. Okay thank you. I won't see the tank until Tue, so I don't know yet about the overflow.

22. I'm getting a reef ready 90 gal on Tue and need to figure out what I'll need to get this thing up and running. It has one overflow and 2 holes at the bottom. I don't know a thing about having a drilled tank or a sump. Can anyone steer me towards some ideas of a good kit to buy or what parts I might need? Aquadome said they carry a kit. I don't know what brand or if it's a good one.
