    FS or Trade

I'm interested if you still have these. I can't tell which is which for prices comparing to the first photos though.

    Zoa Frags

I think your prices are great! Maybe everyone's just busy with back to school stuff right now. Doesn't seem like much is moving anywhere right now.
  4. Used wavebox, with older dial controller. Pump is in great shape! It's definitely possible to get and keep a wave with this controller, it just takes a little patience. I've tried it out and decided I'm happy with just the powerheads I have and I'd rather have the space back. Asking $200 obo. Open to trades or barter. Pick up in far south Austin, cash or PayPal. I have pics, I'll attach later after I figure out how with this new tapatalk...
  5. That's because I just added them Thanks for the reminder.
  6. Can you call the store you bought it from and see if they remember?
  7. Another trick I noticed was to pay attention to what the unit comes with, some stores include a probe, various cables etc, others don't and you need all that stuff. That can make what seems like a great price end up actually costing you more.
  8. You don't get a discount on stuff like that. I think only live stock and seachem products. The only way to get a discount on an apex is from Get Pumped. That was the best deal I could find on it!
  9. That's a great idea! Thanks for the link!

    Getting a wave

I'm liking it so far! It's really really quiet and I can barely hear it over the overflow noise, which isn't too bad. And what was surprising is the overflow is a lot quieter with the wave!
  11. Thanks for all the replies, this has been very interesting. I have the auto feeder as a backup for the days I get tied up with the kids or when I'm gone. I love to feed the tank myself, so I just close the little door on the auto feeder and do it myself most of the time. I tried letting it go without turning the return pump off and the pellets just don't sink fast enough, even with the return facing the feeder and both powerheads and wave maker on. Frozen food is fine just like neon reefer said. I'm glad it's no big deal to just turn the return off. The apex makes it very easy.

    Getting a wave

I finally had a chance to play with the wave maker again this morning. We have a wave!! Thanks everyone for the help.
  14. That's such a neat idea! There's a member on maast that did something kinda like this a while back on a tank full of macro and seahorses. I always thought I'd want to do that someday.
  15. My divers den box got lost today at UPS. Delivery moved to Monday. The live aquaria people are working on it now. Still sucks. Makes me sick to think that box has been sitting in a warehouse all day until at least tomorrow. I wish there was a different way of doing things when a life is at stake. :(

  16. There's another box with free shipping coming on Tue, so if anyone wants to add something I need to know by Sun night.
  17. Okay great, thanks. That's how you set my return also. So do you have the feeder set to feed 8 times per day?
  18. So you have it feed 8 times per day? What do you mean by some kind of eddy?
  19. Right now I have it so my return pump, a mag 9.5, turns off about 5 min before the automatic feeder dumps some food in, then it turns back on about 10 min after. This happens once a day. I'm strongly suspecting one of my fish needs food more than once per day. My concern is the pump. Is it going to wear on it too much to have it turn off and on twice a day? How do others feed? If I put food in with the return on, the food all goes pretty much strait for the overflow, it takes a bit for it to get wet enough to sink.
