I wouldn't think so.. I mean, they do look good and add glisten to the tank. I think the cost out weighs the reasoning for using them. Fish only freshwater.. stick a cheap fluorescent light up there and you are good.. This is only my opinion though.. Don't hate me.

LEDs are doing great, and more importantly, my coral are doing great. The color is bright and they are growing like crazy. All 3 of my anemones are loving the light.
